Which campaign?
I'm interested in making a ranger as a replacement for my current main,a monk.
I'm just wondering which campaign should I make it in? I currently have Tyria and NF. If it matters anyway, Which would be the easiest?

Either works, NF is rather easy for survivor, mainly due to the sunspear bounties you can get to double xp and the docks ferry. If you care for titles, Nightfall, if not, then Prophecies.

I'm sorry but the only way I see people deing on their way to Lions arch is either because of the ascalon arena thingie (which I think you can skip) considering Rangers are back liners and should be fine even with alesia as the monk. lol.
But even saying that, Nightfall is easier for titles so.....yea. I just have a personal hatred for Istan.
I personally prefer tyrian model people then other campaigns but its your choice.

Id go for tyria, the hair/face looks far better, for a male at least.
Much nicer scenery/story etc...

Idk, I made mine on Prophecies-Tyria
I just like the lands, monsters, story, etc. better than the other campaigns.
Although, the leveling is harder.
-I have the 1k Kurzick Armor for male dyed green. It looks cool!

I never said that its hard to stay alive in Tyria, I said its easier in Elona, due to being able to get max armor for a 100-300g not even 1 min run. I have seen a few times where people have died in pre *usually at the arena, which can be skipped if you just log when ur loading* and as for on the run, there are about 3 spots where patrols might aggro you, if you get the AC to LA run, and if not, its possible to die during the missions, especially the Frost Gate *where my survivors that go through the missions have usually died in the past if I didn't get a run before hand*
I would go prophecies due to the faces/hair as others have said personally, but nightfall makes it easier for titles.

Ranger's are a mid-line position.
Anyway, I believe Prophecies is the best because you get alot of free skills to start you off, and can get ran straight to Lion's Arch to Kaineng for max armour. Easier than the rest in my opinion. Yes, title-wise.
I also like the style of the character. (Looks-wise.)
Buuuut that's just me.

Lol. I think slow and painful would suit prophs better.
But yeah, if you're new, I'd go with prophs. But I suggest NF otherwise just because Prophs is considerably slower than NF.

Prophecies - Really slow to level but this gives you time to get used to playing your class and by the end of it you should have a great understanding of your chosen class.
Factions - Quicker to level in and finish however you'll find this campaign the worst place to PUG. Everyone reaches level 20 so fast they really have no clue how to play their chosen class effectively.
Nightfall - A mixture of Proph and Factions. Quicker leveling than proph but slower than factions and also the easiest to gain titles due to ferry runs.
Personally i'd go for Prophecies as the slow leveling will allow you to understand playing a Ranger better than if you played the other campaigns. Not to mention the Tyrian faces and hairstyles look far better than the ones in the other campaigns.

I made one on prophs. I honestly hate the NF starting areas as it's ridiculous.
I also just bought GWEN so I'm probably going to be busy with that on my Monk for awhile, I'll go back to the ranger eventually :X, Thanks for the help everyone.
